CALDERON HONDO VOLCANO: The Calderón Hondo is one of the seven volcanoes of Bayuyo that has the best state of conservation. Walking to it is easy, climbing it and looking into its crater too. From its top, at 278 meters of altitude and on the edge, you can admire a large crater 70 meters deep as well as some very nice views of Fuerteventura.

Montaña Colorada and Calderón Hondo are two different volcanic edifices whose lavas, dated at around 50,000 years old, increased the surface of Fuerteventura by 110 km² to the north.
